Day 1 Day Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

On arrival, Alexis Peltier your pilot and guide welcomes you and accompanies you to The Victoria Falls Hotel, known as the "Grand Old Lady of the Falls" is located in the national park of the Victoria Falls. Many lovely places to relax and enjoy the lush tropical gardens of the hotel. The famous Victoria Falls are 10 minutes' walk, the private path from the hotel leads to a beautiful view, dramatic show of the explosive Water Falls... We are talking of the "Mosi O Tunya", which in local dialect means " smoke that thunders ".

Day 2, From Victoria falls to Bumi hill Safari Lodge

Departure for a beautiful flight 2:10 tour with the overview of Victoria Falls, monitoring the Zambezi River above gorges and rapids to Lake Kariba. Settle in at Bumi Hill Safari Lodge. The lodge is located on top of a hill, in the background the slope of the Zambezi and before you a magnificent view of the ocher sand beach, families of elephants come to bathe and the vastness of Lake Kariba.

Day 3, Parc National Matusadona

Depending on your mood and weather, safari morning and afternoon in an open vehicle, walk accompanied by a professional guide, boat trip on the lake where you can observe the many resident birds. The sunsets over the lake offering sublime opportunities for photo enthusiasts.
The park is located in the western part of Zimbabwe on the southern banks of the famous Lake Kariba. Relatively unknown it gives you a privileged access to wildlife. With your safari you participate in the protection of the flora and fauna of the national park which is one of the last sanctuaries in Zimbabwe to accommodate the endangered black rhinos, here they are safe. It is also in Matusadona we can find the largest concentration of wild lions in Africa. Night at the Lodge

Day 4, Bumi Hills safari lodge (Zimbabwe) to Luangwa national parc (Zambie), Tena Tena Camp.

We leave Zimbabwe with a stop at Kariba to fly us to Zambia Mfuwe and land in the Luangwa National Park. Total flight 3:30, again we fly at low altitude over the Zambezi River, a memorable flight we see the spectacle of fauna and abundant flora especially flying over Mana Pools.
We are greeted upon landing by the "TenaTena camp team. You are here in the bush in a charming camp with wonderful views of the river Luangwa and hills of Nkawali located 60 km.

Day 5, Luangwa National Park, Zambia - Tena Tena Camp

Safari day, on foot, and 4/4 according to time of year, by boat.
The South Luangwa National Park is considered one of the largest sanctuaries of wildlife in the world. The concentration of game around the Luangwa River and its lagoons is the densest in Africa. The Luangwa River is the most intact river system in Africa, it is the lifeblood of the park which covers an area of 9050km2. The park hosts a huge variety of birds and vegetation, over 60 different species of animals, over 400 species of birds and up to 40 000 elephants. Unfortunately included is very rare black rhino poached almost to their extinction. The first walking safaris were held here.

Day 6, Luangwa National Park (Zambia) to Nyika National Park (Malawi) - Chelinda Lodge. 

Departure for Malawi over the border in Mfuwe, 2:40 flight with stops in Mzuzu for entry into Malawi. We leave the plains of the Luangwa valley in the highlands of Malawi overlooking the great Lake Malawi. This will be also a spectacular flight with the startling impression of our varied continent arriving at Nyika National Park.
The Chelinda Lodge sited in a Hagenia forest, overlooks the vast expanses of Nyka National Park. There are among other mamals, large herds of antelope and zebra. This wilderness is a very special place that offers a moment of unexpected escape.
Nyika is the largest park in Malawi with an area of 3200 km2. It extends across essentially large granite plateau; it is an environment that cannot be found anywhere else in the whole of Africa.
The name "Nyika" means "where does water" is indeed one of the most important watersheds of Malawi. During the rainy season, more than 200 types of orchids are in bloom and in other seasons extended the park are very rich in wild flowers. The park has one of the highest densities of leopards in Central Africa, there are also small mammals such as pigs and warthogs bush. The mountain vegetation attracts many duiker antelopes, zebras are very common there.
Elephants, buffaloes and lions usually stay at lower elevations, but we saw them recently on the Nyika plateau.
The park has much to offer the bird watcher: over 400 species have been recorded, among them, the rare Denham's Bustard, Wattled Crane or the red-winged Francolin endemic to Nyika. There is so much to see in this park, waterfalls, rock caves, Neolithic trout pond and even ... a magical lake...

Day 7 From Nyika National Park to Mumbo Island Camp

2:50 flight with stop to refuel in Lilongwe.
Again a total change of environment with this flight, we descend to the bottom of the Malawi Rift Valley flying over the clear waters of Lake Malawi. We follow the coast: boats, traditional fishermen, beautiful coves and beaches to Monkey Bay at the southern end of the lake. Landing on an unexpected path between the huts of a village where a 4x4 will await. We then take a boat that will take us to the camp of Mumbo Island.
The camp, whose name means "origin" was built on the almost deserted island made of huge boulders plunging into the warm, clear waters of Lake Malawi. Mumbo Island is part of the National Park of Lake Malawi.
In 1980 the park was the first marine reserve of fresh water in the world and in 1984 was declared a World Natural Heritage site. The lake is home to the largest number of fish species in the world, more than 500, half of which in the national park area. As said a happy visitor "Here, it's like diving in an aquarium with a mask and snorkel! ". Lake Malawi is unique is a distinct biogeographic zone, with an estimated dating between 3 and 20 million years. Its surface area: 600 km long and 80 km wide and a depth of 700 m, it is the southern tip of the African Rift Valley.

Day 8, Mumbo Island Camp (Malawi) to Ila Mozambique

:30 flight, stopping at Blantyre to Nampula exit formalities Malawi and entry in Mozambique.
After leaving Malawi we will fly over the Mozambican bush and gigantic monolytes for a surprising arrival on the coast of the Indian Ocean. Transfer to Ila de Mozambique. Maximum occupancy the Escondidinho, hotel situated in a quiet street in Stone City in the center of Ila, this is the place from where to discover this island steeped in history. This old house converted into a hotel is a nice blend of European architecture and Swahili, originally it was a factory and a trading house, during much of the 19th century slaves were the main "commodity".
Escondidinho The hotel is now a beautifully restored house open onto a lovely shaded courtyard.

Day 9, Ilha Mozambique

Day to discover the exceptional historical heritage of this island. Ila de Mozambique has been the center of trade routes in the Indian Ocean since the 8th century. There is found an old chapel of the 12th century, and the impressive 14 Century Portuguese Fort. The town, half in ruins, feels as if you are in a different dimension of time. Overnight at Hotel Escondidinho.

Day 10, Ilha de Mozambique - Selous National Park (Tanzania). Selous Sand River.

Today 4:30 spectacular flight with a stop in Pemba Ntwara to exit formalities and Mozambique / Tanzania Entry.
The flight along the coast is absolutely gorgeous: Overview vast expanses of white sand banks with incredible shapes on a turquoise sea, successions of small islands unfolding before our eyes, dolphins, whales, mangrove forests.
From Ntwara change of scenery with the beautiful surroundings of the Rufiji River to get to Selous Park, one of Africa's largest parks.
The lodge "Selous Sand River" in the heart of wildlife in the park is a paradise of lush vegetation. It is ideally situated on a rocky peninsula on the banks of the Rufiji River, in the shade of large trees such as Tamarind or Pod Mahogany. It was designed with wide open spaces to enjoy its incredible environment. The 8 cottages are built with wood and local stone, built on platforms of wood, each cottage offers a magnificent view of the Rufiji River and its sandbanks. Night Selous Sand River

Day 11, Selous National Park, Selous Sand River

4x4 safari day and open boat up the narrow canyons of the Rufiji. If you wish we can also go on foot with guides.
The park is named after Frederick Coutney Selous who was killed fighting the German forces in 1917 Tanganyika.
The reserve covers 50,000 km2, but only the northern region along the Rufiji River is open to visitors. This part of the park offers all varieties of whole ecosystem Selous, found there including marshes and lakes formed by the river. Multiple channels running through across Borassus palm trees and grasslands are unique in East Africa.
Bird lovers will be delighted by the variety of species, as well as lovers of wildlife: hippos, elephants, antelopes, gazelles and their predators ... The beauty of the Behobelo Mountains, Stiegler's gorge, hot springs, the meander of the Rufiji river will leave unforgettable images in your mind. Night Selous Sand River.

Day 12, Selous National Park to Zanzibar. Beyt al Chai Hotel

1:30 surprise flight between bush and ocean starting with an overview of the Rufiji River and passing north of Dar El Salam to arrive in Zanzibar the Spice Island. Afternoon dedicated to the discovery of the old city and this former slave market.
Hotel Beyt al Chai is located in the famous Kelele in the heart of the City.
It is a rich Arab merchant who is behind the construction of this fabulous old building. In the years that followed, the Kelele square has become the favorite place of Europeans living in Zanzibar and it is named "Kelele" (noise in Swahili) to barking dogs that Europeans had brought with them.
Zanzibar also called "Stone Town" was included in 2000 in the World Heritage UNESCO. Night at Beyt al Chai

Day 13, Zanzibar, Beyt al Chai Hotel

Day in Zanzibar Discovery tour of the old town and the coast south of the island.

Dress
Provide, loincloth, shorts, swimwear, fleece, pants, shoes, comfortable sandals, cap, sunglasses, flashlight. Kenya has many highlands, mornings, evenings and cloudy days, it can get cold there, the ultimate weapon, a good fleece and a raincoat.

Health
Antimalarial prophylaxis recommended mosquito repellent + a, yellow fever vaccine not mandatory in Kenya depending your antecedent travels but advised against it is required for travelers who have recently visited or transited + 12h in one of 42 countries in sub-Saharan Africa or South America.

Visa
Effective 1st of July 2015, visitors to Kenya are now required to apply and pay for their visas online via www.ecitizen.go.ke 
The visas will be processed and sent online to the applicant who will then be required to print out the approved visa and present it to immigration officer at the point of entry.
